Dated 1858 Antique Signature Quilt from New York City, New York

Wonderful antique signature quilt made for a beloved Methodist Episcopal Sunday School teacher, Esther McAllister in New York City in 1858.

  1. I couldn't make out a lot of the poem but sounded like the teacher had died? It's a fabulous quilt!

    1. Sherrill, they were mourning because she wasn't teaching them any longer but she hadn't died. They made the quilt for her to honor her service.
