ReplyDeleteI couldn't make out a lot of the poem but sounded like the teacher had died? It's a fabulous quilt!
ReplyDeleteSherrill, they were mourning because she wasn't teaching them any longer but she hadn't died. They made the quilt for her to honor her service.
