Such a Christmasy and cheery quilt. Love all the berries!
Part of the Starley Antique Quilt Collection.
(She'd love to come visit you for a wonderful evening of antique quilt eye candy).
A variation of the Cockscomb and Currants pattern. This is the only one I've seen with the curved line/stems joined to make a bow. They are usually separated and swirl around like curved arrows.
And of course, have to love the floral baskets and red/green balls.
I like this design very much. Thank you for sharing the info.
ReplyDeleteOhhh...I love this! Berries everywhere! And the red/green balls are great! As I was drooling over the full quilt pic, I noticed the bottom right block had more berries than the others....perhaps it was the first block the maker made, then thought twice about packing them in! Or maybe it was made by an overly enthusiastic friend! Either way....I love the variation!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And, I's surely love to have you come to Maine to show all your wonderful quilts. Ever come this way?
ReplyDeleteA very special design, lovely!
