I've got a new (antique) hexagon quilt - grandmother's flower garden but in a unique setting design. The quilt is almost 100 years before the standard grandmother's flower garden -- circa 1830s!!
Love the small flowers and the setting with the blue frame.
Adore the glazed chintz border - yummy
Very tempting to reproduce! Thanx for sharing pictures!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is lovely, a great setting. What size are the hexagons? What size is the finished quilt please?
ReplyDeleteThat is such an interesting setting--and I do love that border fabric!
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying seeing these vintage quilts from your collection. Thanks for the fun Christmas gift! : )
This is a treasure. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great setting - it's nice to see something different. Love that border fabric. What a treasure you have!
ReplyDeleteLove this early mosaic quilt - Especially the six single hexies in the open white areas of each cluster - helps to take up the blank space and give balance to the field of hexagons in each unit. The glazed chintz is especially lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is Leah Z - btw - need to get my computer savvy on to figure out why my name doesn't appear. Love this thread of your blog!
