Caesar's Crown - Antique Quilt

Yes, I do have a great fondness for Caesar's Crown pattern or what people are now calling the "Brimfield Block". It is a very old, traditional pattern. It is usually set together to create a secondary bell pattern but this maker added an unusual sashing that perfectly frames the blocks. Enjoy.

    I've never heard it called Brimfield block, but I love this one and the setting!

    A complex looking block. Very pretty--and that sashing does set it off beautifully.
