Month of Antique Quilt Treasures Day 7 More cheater prints PA pieced pillowcase

 Continuning with the late 1800s novelty print fest... Here's an unusual example -a pieced pillowcase from Pennsylvania. Made only in PA and appear to be a Penn. German creation. Circa 1880 pillowcase. Starley Collection.

A detail of the center. The middle section is printed patchwork (cheater cloth), section with the star while the squares are actually pieced.
